PASTORAL

It's rather nice, because, despite living in the "Central Belt" where the densest population is, a short drive takes us into the country. Saturday saw us travelling just a few miles south and before long we were among the gentle hills and rolling fields. The earth seemed expectant, with buds fattening on the trees and bushes and, yes, lambs!! Spring is really here.

God, who covereth the heaven with clouds,
who prepareth rain for the earth,
who maketh grass to grow upon the mountains.
He giveth to the beast his food, and to the young ravens which cry.
He delighteth not in the strength of the horse, he taketh not pleasure in the legs of a man.
The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.

Psalm 145:8-11

  1. I love your views of this lovely countryside.
Trusting that we all can meet at the planned open air outside the Scottish Parliament pn Thursday, DV at 10am. I trust that we will have plenty of good Psalm singers for Open Air ?
